Squamish Estuary Bird Checklist  Squamish is an excellent place to bird-watch. Below is a list of birds which have been sited in what is designated as the Squamish Estuary. The designation "rare" indicates that a species occur rarely, casually, accidentally or irregularly/erratically as defined by the BC Wildlife Watch checklist compiled by Jim Wisnia. A birder with average skills who birds in the Squamish Estuary several times each month for a year can expect to see some of these species as well as most or all of the other species.
